Jeff Price
Claire Morgan is Artistic Director and a spoken word and performance artist with 12 years experience of working in community arts development and project management. Her work as a spoken word artist has included Handbag Voodoo: The Rise and Fall of The Art Skool Drop Outs, a spoken word and film fusion (2005: Funded by Arts Council, North East and part-commissioned by New Word Order). The Spiritual Injury Tour (her current project) fuses poetry with character comedy and ventriloquism, which was performed at Prague Fringe Festival (2006), Edinburgh Fringe Festival (2006) and Show Real at Contact Theatre, Manchester (2007).
Jeff Price is Director for Monkfish Productions, he has been writing and performing his poetry and stories for the last fifteen years. Jeff is editor of Zebra Publishing and a prolific organiser of poetry and spoken word events both in the UK and abroad. Jeff also works as a poetry and creative writing tutor in schools, libraries, museums and prisons. He is one of the Poetry Vandals: hugely successful performance poetry troupe that hail from Newcastle and who have travelled widely and performed at gigs and events in both the UK and Europe. He is also Joint Editor of Zebra Publishing: an independent publishing press specialising in promoting performance poets. His work has been published in a number of anthologies and he had a collection called “Doors” was published in 2006.
